Novare Library Services has been working closely with PPLC (Pinellas Public Library Cooperative) Staff since the beginning of 2020 and through the pandemic. As a result, we are thrilled to announce we have launched two new websites for PPLC. The first is a site for residents of Pinellas County to find library resources, specific library information, learn about the Deaf Literacy Center and access the Talking Book Library.

The Pinellas Public Library Cooperative was founded in 1989 and provides provides coordination of programs, funding, and marketing for the 14 public library member libraries with Pinellas County.  The libraries, while all independent, share resources and a shared ILS system.

The new website was developed on the WordPress CMS. The new CMS allows for easy updates and the ability to add to the site as needed. Novare Library Services was able to create an integrated search and bring the library catalog into the page via an account login and search box.

Novare and PPLC worked to develop a list of resources needed by staff. As a result, we created a stand-alone staff resource page. The staff resource center brings together a wish list for Pinellas County library staff including:

  • Easy to access statistics
  • Visual and searchable Lending Library including hats, puppets, and much more
  • Searchable Performers’ Database
  • Special Interest Group Pages customizable by each group.

These resources have limited access and are exclusively available to staff at member libraries. Therefore to access these resources, you will need a login from PPLC.
