Topic: Build a Chatbot in 60 Minutes!
Description: Want to create your own AI chatbot? Join us for this hands-on Zoom workshop where you’ll build your own AI assistant from scratch, no technical background needed! In just one hour, you’ll have a working chatbot plus a clear understanding of when (and when not) to use it.
We’ll use free tools (Zapier and ChatGPT) to create a chatbot that can handle everything from “When does the library close?” to “Where can I find peer-reviewed articles about climate change?” Think of it as a friendly digital assistant that never needs coffee breaks but does need supervision.
By the end of the session, you’ll have:
– A working chatbot you built yourself
– Smart strategies for keeping your chatbot accurate and helpful
– A realistic view of what chatbots can (and cannot) do
– Practical ways to enhance service while maintaining quality
– A new skill to add to your digital toolbox
You’ll need:
– Free Zapier and ChatGPT accounts (please set those up in advance)
– An idea of what you want your chatbot to do
– A willingness to experiment!
– Come ready to learn, build, and have some fun with AI, while keeping your human library workers firmly in charge!
