Dynamic Shelving: Engage Browsers With More Accessible Collections

May 31 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Florida Library Webinars - Live Webinar

Join High School Librarian Kelsey Bogan to learn about Dynamic Shelving, her collective strategies for building a library collection that is more accessible and independently navigable to library users. Compared with the old school “static shelving” technique of rows of spines in pristine Dewey order, Dynamic Shelving relies on techniques like front-facing, chunking, color-coding, mini displays, plentiful clear signage, and more to make the collection more dynamic and accessible, so library users can more successfully navigate the collection independently. In this webinar you’ll learn about why and how Kelsey uses Dynamic Shelving as well as practical tips for strategies you can reuse in your library.

Presenter: Kelsey Bogan
